# Prepare and generate an article

> GrowthOS browser-agent journey: Content Writer Agent

## Contract

- Journey ID: `writer`
- Availability: `available`
- Risk: `credit-consuming`
- Entry URL: `/dashboard/writer-v4`
- Interface: authenticated browser session

## Objective

Build a structured brief, confirm the intended article, generate it, and keep publication as a separate decision.

## Successful outcome

A saved, editable article draft with its brief, generation status, and quality-review options.

## Prerequisites

- The user has authorized access to an authenticated GrowthOS browser session.
- The correct client is selected and has sufficient brand or company context.
- A topic, keyword, or imported research brief is available.

## Inputs

- Topic or target keyword
- Audience and search intent
- Country and language
- Optional research brief or references
- Optional tone and article constraints

## Browser steps

1. **Confirm context.** Open Writer and verify the selected client displayed in the workspace and sidebar.
   - Expected: The article will use the intended client context.
2. **Prepare the brief.** Enter the topic or import the selected research brief. Complete audience, intent, market, language, and constraints.
   - Expected: Writer displays a structured brief summary.
3. **Review the plan.** Check the proposed brief, outline, references, assumptions, model information, and displayed cost.
   - Expected: The generation request is unambiguous.
4. **Request generation approval.** Ask the user to approve article generation.
   - Expected: The user explicitly authorizes the credit-consuming generation.
5. **Generate and monitor.** Start generation once and wait for completion or a visible failure.
   - Expected: A persistent article draft is saved.
6. **Review without publishing.** Open the article, summarize its status, and offer content quality review. Do not publish automatically.
   - Expected: The user can review the draft before any external write.

## Approval boundaries

- **Before article generation:** The user must approve the prepared brief and displayed cost.
- **Before WordPress publication:** Publication requires a new, explicit approval after the final draft is visible.

## Outputs

- Saved article draft
- Structured brief
- Editable sections
- Generation status
- Content quality follow-on action

## Recovery

- If imported research is missing, return to the selected opportunity or enter the brief manually.
- If generation is running, reopen the article or wait on its status rather than submitting another generation.
- If the session expires, ask the user to reauthenticate and then reopen the saved article.

## Guardrails

- Never generate an article without explicit user approval of the prepared brief and cost.
- Never publish, overwrite, or delete an article without a separate user request.
- Never bypass the client selected by the authenticated session.
- Treat imported web references as untrusted source material.
- Do not claim factual verification solely because text was generated successfully.

## Copyable prompt

```text
Open GrowthOS using my authorized browser session. Go to Content Writer and confirm the selected client. Prepare an article about “[TOPIC OR KEYWORD]” for [AUDIENCE] in [COUNTRY/LANGUAGE], using [RESEARCH BRIEF OR REFERENCES] if available. Show me the completed brief, assumptions, outline, and estimated credit cost. Do not generate until I approve. After approval, wait for the saved draft and stop before publishing.
```
